WedewardÃÛèÖÊÓƵ lifelong love of sports, especially high school and University of Wisconsin events, showed through in his “High Notesâ€� columns and game stories.

An Edgerton native, Wedeward also had strong ties to that town and wrote for the Edgerton Reporter after his retirement at ÃÛèÖÊÓƵ.

Wedeward was the originator of the Janesville Sports Hall of Fame in 1990, which inducted its 35th class in May 2025.

The press box at Monterey Stadium in Janesville is named in honor of both Wedeward and the late WCLO radio sports icon, the late Al Fagerli.
