JANESVILLE— A vibrant summer tradition is back in downtown Janesville as Night on Festival, presented by TDS Fiber, returns Thursday, Aug. 14 from 4 — 8 p.m.
The event once again will take over BHCCU Festival Street with live entertainment, local food and vendors, kids’ activities and more; all free to the public.
Headlining the eveningÃÛèÖÊÓÆµ entertainment is Madison-based band Panchromatic Steel, known for their energetic blend of island- inspired sounds fused with pop, rock, and jazz, according to the release. DJ Lalo will kick things off with a set from 4 — 5 p.m., followed by Panchromatic Steel from 5 — 8 p.m. at the JP Cullen Pavilion. Festival goers are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets to enjoy the music.
More than a dozen food trucks will line the street, serving up a diverse menu of savory eats and sweet treats. Local vendors and nonprofit organizations also will be on-site, showcasing handmade goods, community services, and local talent.
Families can look forward to the Kids Zone, sponsored by Nowlan Law, featuring a bounce house, face painting, balloon artist, and other engaging activities for children of all ages.
Adults can enjoy refreshments from on-site beer tents, with all beverage proceeds supporting Downtown Janesville Inc. (DJI), the nonprofit organization behind the event.
