WHITEWATER — The city of Whitewater will turn off public commenting on posts made on its social media pages on June 1.

City Manager John Weidl informed the council via a letter April 30 that the city would be turning off comments starting June 1. Ald. Neil Hicks then moved to approve a new social media policy on Tuesday, with the addition of turning off the comments on social media posts.
